Connect Your Shopify Store

Connect your Shopify store to Unload via OAuth or manual access token to enable product transfers.

Connect your Shopify store

You need to connect your Shopify store before you can transfer products. Unload supports two connection methods: the recommended OAuth flow (one-click) and a manual token option for advanced users.

Method 1: OAuth (recommended)

1

Open Integrations settings

Click "Settings" in the sidebar, then select "Integrations" from the sub-menu.

2

Start the connection

Click the "Connect to Shopify" button. You will be redirected to Shopify's authorization page.

3

Install the Unload app

On the Shopify authorization page, review the permissions Unload is requesting and click "Install app". This grants Unload the ability to create and manage products on your store.

4

Return to Unload

After installation, you are automatically redirected back to Unload. Your store name will appear on the Integrations page, confirming the connection is active.

Method 2: Manual access token

If you prefer not to use OAuth or need to connect a store where you cannot install apps directly, you can enter a Shopify access token manually.

1

Generate an access token in Shopify

In your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Apps and sales channels > Develop apps. Create a new app, configure the required API scopes (products, inventory, media), and generate an access token.

2

Enter the token in Unload

Back on the Unload Settings > Integrations page, choose the manual token option. Paste your access token and your store's .myshopify.com URL, then save.

What Unload can and cannot do on your store

Unload creates new products and can update existing products during transfers. It manages product images, variants, prices, and inventory quantities. Unload does not modify your store's theme, settings, checkout, or any products outside of a transfer operation you initiate.
